Bormio and A Little Warren Miller!!!!!

I have seriously neglected my blog over the last few months...I have been traveling and racing all over the world and have had the best start to my ski season of my career this year so far! After the first half of the DH and Super G world cup season I'm super happy with where my skiing is at at the moment, and especially happy about my race yesterday in Bormio where I got 7th place! Bormio is such a tough challenging real deal DH and to be competitive on a hill like that gives me a lot of confidence! I cant wait for the rest of the season! 


Warren Miller:
On another note, I just found this little edit from Warren Miller of me skiing at Points North Heli last spring!  I had a segment in their movie this year, "Flow State", and here is a little taste of the action! What amazing skiing and huge mountain they have up there in Cordova, Alaska! I hope to head back up there this spring for round two and really find out more about the Chugach! Enjoy! 

16th at Beaver Creek Downhill

After an awesome week of downhill here at Beaver Creek, I walked away with a solid result and momentum that will carry me into the rest of the season!  After winning my first World Cup DH training run, and backing it up with a solid 4th the next day, I went for the win on race day, and came up a bit short, but it was a great learning experience and I now know what it takes to win at this level! Ill be back next year at Beaver Creek for redemption!

Winter Is Here!!!!

Winter has arrived to Tahoe! I was home for one week before heading out to Colorado to start training, and that one week was a good one! I arrived to a nice fall day, and the next morning I woke up to snow! The next 4 days were full on winter, with snow days for the schools, some amazing backcountry skiing behind the house and a sneak peak opening for one day at Squaw Valley! What a nice start to winter.
