Go Climb A Mountain! Its good for You...

Cascade Mountain looming above Banff... Our objective for the day.

I think I was a mountain goat in a past life. Everytime I go climb a mountain I feel like I belong there... Living like the mountain goats. Running on the scree fields, and climbing to the cliff edge vista points to see whats on the other side. Or maybe it is because I am a skier and summer time mountain climbing is just an acceptably excuse for me to go check out some new amazing terrain that I want to ski! Also, sitting on top of some huge new peak is always a special moment. You feel so alive and free and you are at a place where no one else is... That must be good for you right? So go climb a mountain, it must be good for you!

Sarah, Marie, and Me near the top- We couldnt go all the way due to a late August snowstorm... Typical Canada...

View of Cascade from across the valley on the Banff Gondola.

The Cascade Amphitheater.

The sheer size of the wilderness in Canada is amazing. Yet another nu-developed, un-human-tarnished valley.

Marie and Erin looking back down towards Norquay ski area and some impressive peaks off in the distance.

Scree field climbing near the top..

Cool rock in the Amphitheater on the backside of Cascade.

Nothing like chilling on top of a mountain!

Contemplating all the amazing peaks from up high!

Looking down on civilization...

My favorite place in the world. On a mountain.

Getting even higher with some levitation!

And back down we go... Until next time.
